Frequently asked questions

about therapy, pricing and how to get started

How do I get started?

The easiest first step is scheduling a free 15-minute consultation call. It's a low-pressure conversation where we can briefly connect, talk about what's bringing you in, and see whether we might be a good fit. You can book through the contact page linked below.

What should I expect from a Consultation call?

The consultation is about 15 minutes and completely free. We'll talk briefly about what's going on for you, what you're hoping to get from therapy, and any questions you have about my approach. There's no pressure or commitment — it's simply a chance to get a feel for whether working together makes sense.

Who do you work with?

I specialize in working with women and couples. For individuals, I focus on the full range of experiences that arise across a woman's life — including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, perinatal and postpartum adjustment, relationship stress, life transitions, and grief. For couples, I work with partners navigating conflict, disconnection, trust, and communication challenges.

What are your session fees?

Individual sessions are $150 and couples sessions are $195. Sessions are 50 minutes.

Do you accept insurance?

I am a private-pay therapist and do not bill insurance directly. Many clients choose to use their out-of-network benefits if they have them — I'm happy to provide a receipt (called a superbill) upon request that you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement.

I offer both. In-person sessions are available in Santa Cruz, CA. Telehealth sessions are available to anyone located in California via a secure video platform. I also offer walk and talk therapy outdoors in Santa Cruz for those who find movement helpful to their process.

Do you offer online or in-person sessions?
